The time has come to re-issue the three books as a single volume, the author cherry-picking the choice cuts to produce the finest title on the mighty and beloved Spitfire DR ALFRED PRICE was brought up in Ewell near Epsom and much of the Battle of Britain was fought out over his home. He has always been fascinated with military planes, the Spitfire and Luftwaffe most of all. As soon as he could, Price joined the RAF, then volunteered for aircrew as an Air Electronics Officer and flew in Hastings transports and Vulcan bombers. Price also instructed in electronic warfare and target penetration tactics. He left the RAF as a Flight Lieutenant in 1974, having logged over 4,000 flying hours, to pursue his dream of becoming an aviation writer. He has written over 40 books and lives in Leicestershire.
